For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

    Mark 11:23

Bible Verse Open Heavens Daily Devotional   October 31, 2025

    Genesis 1:1-3:

1 In the beginning God created  the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

God created the world by speaking it into existence, as we see in today’s Bible reading.

The earth was in a terrible shape; it was void and covered in darkness. Amid this chaos, God called forth light to shine out of the darkness, and His creative work began. Hebrews 11:3 says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

Everything that we see was created by the power of God’s word. There is creative power in the word of God. This is why, as a child of God, when challenges come your way, you do not complain. Rather than complain, you should put the word of God on your lips and speak His will into existence.

No matter the kind of obstacles that are hindering God’s will from being manifested in your life, He wants you to speak and command them to move out of the way.

Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

    Zechariah 4:7

The authority to speak to mountains is not exclusively for ministers of God. Rather, it is for every genuine child of God. This means that, if you are a child of God and you command the mountains that are contrary to God’s will in your life to disappear in Jesus’ name, they will obey.

The Bible says in Philippians 2:9-10 that at the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee in heaven, on earth, or underneath the earth, should bow.

Some Christians speak to their mountains, but they say the wrong things. Instead of commanding a mountain to be removed, they plead with it for mercy or complain about it.

When God says, ‘Speak to the mountain’, He wants you to address it squarely. However, you must get rid of doubt so you can speak authoritatively to that mountain.

    James 1:6 says:

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Beloved, doubt robs believers of their authority, and you must not permit it in your heart. Believe in the absolute power of God’s word without any doubt, and no mountain will be able to stand before you.

Don’t complain about negative situations in your life; rather, speak God’s will into existence concerning them.
