The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

Lessons from Open Heavens Today, March 7, 2024

1. God anointed you mainly for you to preach the good news Acts 1:8.

2. You cannot sit in your home expecting the anointing to do its Job. You have to put in the work of going to people, preaching and declaring the word of God.

3. Your calling as a believer is to preach to all parts of the world. Don’t restrict the anointing of God to your local assembly only.

4. Don’t be fooled that everyone has heard the good news; there are countries where the good news has not been preached.

5. Let God’s anointing flow through you. Don’t be redundant. Remember, a river that doesn’t flow will stink.
