Strength, both in physical and spiritual terms is emphasized in the bible. Strength is an important attribute of a Christian. We need both spiritual and physical strength to travail in life and ministry. There are several bible verses about strength; these verses encourage us to look to God for strength and also within. Let’s embark on this illuminative journey as we explore the scripture for strength.

Why do we need strength as Christians?

Christians need strength for many reasons because our journey is filled with many challenges and spiritual battles. Here are some reasons why we need strength:

  1. Spiritual Warfare: We need strength for spiritual warfare and battles. Our battle is against spiritual forces and the kingdom of darkness. We need spiritual strength to fight these battles and overcome them.
  2. We need strength to endure trials and tribulations.
  3. We need strength to live our lives in faith and confidence in God.
  4. We need strength to overcome fear and doubt.
  5. We need spiritual strength to persevere in prayers and supplication to God.
  6. Christians need strength to share the gospel to save the lost
