This particular bible verse is very common and it clearly expresses the mind of God. David was the psalmist appreciating God’s works and how wonderful God created him.
God has created you beautifully and wonderfully. You are a precious creation of God whose beauty is beyond the comprehension of man.

Your beauty should not come from outward adornments, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewellery or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.1 Peter 3:3-4
We live in a time where the common definition of beauty depends on looks and physical appearance. People often judge a person by the adornment they wear, body shape and complexion.
God admonishes us through peter that we shouldn’t put out worth on our physical appearance. I remember when I was a teenager, I always adorn myself with jewellery and make-up; I only felt beautiful with the adornment.
It took a lot of effort for me to realise how beautiful I was without any of those things. These days I am more comfortable in my skin. I wear less jewellery, makeup or wig; I feel more beautiful than before.

16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.1 Corinthians 3:16-17
The scripture above is usually quoted to warn against fornication or adultery but I believe it is also a perfect bible verse about body Image. We are a temple where God’s Spirit dwells; God doesn’t want us to alter his body.
These days people go for different kinds of surgery to alter their body shape which is against God’s instruction. Our bodies are living sacrifices and we should value our bodies. What people think doesn’t matter when it comes to your body shape and beauty.
Plastic surgeries have consequences which sometimes are unforeseen. In This part of the world, people bleach their skin to look beautiful. Let your beauty come from within and not without.

Songs of Solomon is a book of the Bible that I love so much. Both lovers were deeply in love with each other and they never saw each other’s flaws. I am sure they weren’t perfect but both valued each other.
This is a reminder that you are perfect and someone who values you will treasure you irrespective of how you look. Never allow negativity, especially from your partner. There will always be someone who values you and appreciates you.
Many women often develop low body image after having children. This happens because of the changes the body went through for nine months. It is necessary to overcome the low body image, you are not less beautiful because of the stretch mark, scar or whatever changes in your body. You have done a wonderful job of bringing a great human being to the world.
Celebrate yourself, carry yourself in confidence, never allow negative thoughts and always remember that you are valued by God. Whenever you feel low and you need encouragement; read these bible verses about body image and allow the thoughts of God to dominate your heart.
